Summer, 2005
Hi,
I'm releasing my newest puzzle
sculpture, Pyramid I. This sculpture consists of a 4.5"
tall, four sided stepped pyramid with a hidden recess holding a 1.5"
standard brass central cube. It's a puzzle to open, a puzzle to build
and has an optional 1.5"
central vault for hiding something small. I used mostly copper on this
sculpture but also some
brass, bronze, aluminum, stainless steel and titanium for contrasting
coloration.

There are some
interesting options for this Pyramid: |
1) You can remove
the
standard 1.5" brass cube and use the space for storing something (like Mini-Conundrum v2). |
2) You can obtain
the Optional Lockable Central Vault to hide something quite small (like a ring). |
3) You can obtain
the Optional 1" Copper Box Central Cube which fits perfectly inside the
Optional Lockable Central Vault. |
It's
all for fun!

Pyramid I - is several
leagues easier than Conundrum III in every aspect but it still has a
lot of pieces and a good learning curve for those inclined to attempt
assembly without the instructions. Enjoy the copper coloration, the
rounded edges and the weight (10.5
lbs +/-). Pyramid
I is a limited edition; each sculpture is signed and numbered. A
certificate of authenticity is included with each sculpture. This
Pyramid comes ready to assemble!
I'd like to mention also that on any of my sculptures that are "SOLD OUT"
(ie. Conundrum and Conundrum II),
I'd be glad to offer your Maxton sculptures for sale on a consignment
basis here at Maxton Gallery. E-mail me for specifics if interested.
Pyramid I- All
36 elements
|
|
Pleasingly
rounded edges allow pleasant contact with each of the 36 elements with
22 unique geometric metal shapes shown above. The puzzle is to assemble
these colorful pieces into a 4.5" tall stepped pyramid. For added
coloration and puzzle complexity, some of the pieces are composed of 2
different metals dowel pinned permanently together.
|
It's much harder to assemble than
it is to disassemble Pyramid I. If you use
the photographs provided here, they provide some clues for the assembly
process. Unfortunately, there are no clues on the disassembly
process...... OOPS!
Enjoy the moment!
